Service Update – CONVID-19

Dear Customers

During this unprecedented and difficult period, we are taking into consideration the latest Government advice in protecting the health and safety of our staff. At present all staff are working remotely until further notice. We will endeavour to continue to provide the range of services that you are accustomed to, but some services have become unavailable or limited due to COVID-19:

  • Company Formations - Most Companies House services should be unaffected but same-day services have been suspended until further notice.
  • Apostille and Legalisation - We are currently unable to provide Apostille and Legalisations services as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has stopped legalising documents as from the Prime Ministers speech of the 23rd March 2020.

Local Authority and Water Companies Service Update The majority of councils have been working hard to enable us to remote access the relevant personal information for our searches. Things are very much in a state of flux at the moment with some councils responding positively with decreased lead times and others with significant delays. There are a few councils which currently still require physical access or currently only have available LLC1/CON29 official search reports. However, these are the minority and the situation is changing daily as the councils continue to work to improve remote access during this period of COVID-19 working arrangements.

With regards to drainage and water companies, Thames Water and Southern Water are currently operating with delays but we expect these to be resolved soon as they are working to improve their remote access.

To help our clients during this period we propose a few measures:

  • We will provide you with weekly bulletins with Council, water and drainage and environmental search updates
  • We will be communicating directly with you when we are aware of restrictions or delays in a particular area where you have ordered a search
  • We will provide cost-effective indemnity policies for any searches where we expect significant delays that might affect your client's completion date
